What has blogging taught me?

During the lockdown, I began blogging to add to myself. Since then, I have written posts about a variety of topics, including my life, science, travel, and books. Blogging has fostered in me numerous skills. It has given me a lot to learn and strengthened my personality. Here are seven lessons I have learned from blogging:

1. Time management- As I'm a student, I have to divide my time between studying and blogging. A person must possess the critical ability of time management. As a result, my time management abilities have improved. The addition of blogging has necessitated finding a balance between my regular responsibilities and writing. I typically publish blogs on Sundays, which makes me more punctual.

2. Exploring- Because blogging is all about imparting knowledge to others, it cultivates an exploratory spirit in me. When I look for subjects, I investigate many various things. I spend a lot of time researching the topics' depth once I've chosen them. Moving around is a part of being a travel blogger. I meet new people and move around in different localities which helps me learn about different human behavior, culture, and history. It also results in tasting different foods that are prepared by the locals, like the Assamese dish I experienced in Assam, which featured a traditional meal and flavor. While reading books, I indulge in analyzing the plot, characters, and the base of the story by which I get to explore more.

3. Rectifying my mistakes- Rectifying my mistakes- Looking back on our mistakes is a crucial part of life. Making mistakes is not wrong; instead, it becomes wrong when we fail to correct them and double-check our actions. I make a lot of mistakes when I write blogs, but I always go back and fix them. In certain cases, I even edit the blog after it has already been published. I attempt to live my life according to this principle. I do make mistakes, but I always try to repair them instead of leaving them alone so that I don't repeat the same ones.

4. Directing my flow of thoughts-My blog designs must follow a specific structure. An organized mind is necessary for having a proper framework. I think my mental process has improved since I started writing since it is now more focused and straightforward. I am less perplexed by things because I know what to do. Making good decisions in my life also results from having a directed flow of ideas. I find that writing and researching numerous subjects keeps my thoughts organized.

5. Taking criticism in a right way- It goes without saying that you will get both compliments and criticism when you display something in public. Several of my blogs have drawn criticism from others. Not everyone shares my opinions, and occasionally I am blindsided by the truth when it is brought to my attention by someone else. I've learned to respond positively to criticism whenever I can. It helps me learn how to see things from both perspectives. Instead of sitting dejectedly wondering why I was criticized, I try to instill a spirit of positivity inside myself.

6. Building strategy and maintaining a public image- Building up techniques is something that blogging has taught me to do over and over again. I have created a variety of tactics to draw viewers to my content. As a result, I now have plans for everything else, including planning my day and interacting with others. My blog site is public, so I have to uphold my reputation by acting properly and imposing limits on the material I post. I have to look for the appropriate information and create it in a way that won't hurt the public's sentiments.

7. Communication- A strong personality requires communication as a soft skill. Everyone who can interact with others politely will succeed. I exchange emails and comments with my viewers. People have spoken to me in person about blogging, which has improved my ability to interact with others. In order to communicate, I must carefully select my words and systematize them. My vocabulary has grown as a result of blogging, and I can now converse effectively with anyone at any time.

Overall, it has favorably shaped my personality. Blogging has taught me a lot of skills and increased my confidence. I have learned to work independently and can express myself better everywhere.
